Mat Pilates ALL LEVELS

This is an open Mat Pilates class for people of all abilities.  With focus on the core body, Pilates will support improvements in flexibility and strength, working with your present state to develop control and a mindful connection to the body.  This class will leave you feeling long and strong!

Our Mat Pilates classes include the use of props to assist or enhance the development of core stability and movement.  Sign up to reserve a mat.

Power ROW

Formerly branded as Indo-Row® , our Power ROW class provides a TRANSFORMATIVE total-body workout that challenges the body and focuses the mind.  It is designed specifically for first-time rowers, no experience is necessary! Using the Water Rower burns calories, sculpts muscle during a fun interval workout in a uniquely motivating, team-oriented fitness environment.

Kind to the body – a seated activity, rowing removes the body weight and impact from the injury prone joints of the hips, knees and ankles.

Full-body Functionality – rowing incorporates posture-improving movements of the leg press, hip hinge and upper-body rowing motion; these exercises are essential for enhancing core strength while maximizing flexibility and range of motion.

Suitable for all levels.

CARDIO/CONDITIONING/STRENGTH/LOW IMPACT

EnduranceROW

Suitable for those who have taken Indo-Row®, EnduranceROW is for those looking to challenging themselves with long distance cardio training.

Learn how to manage your inner fuel tank, build strength and stamina, and overcome the mental and emotional barriers that prevent you from going further, pushing harder and stepping outside of your comfort zone.

CARDIO/ENDURANCE/CONDITIONING/LOW IMPACT

P.W.R. - Pilates with Rowing

The first of its kind in Canada!!  Cardio and conditioning combined! At Núcleo we want everyone feeling sculpted, long, lean and their very best.

This hour long class will have you moving through sequences on and off the Rower/Mat working between pulling - getting your heart rate up, and Pilates exercises - utilizing activities that stabilize muscles and joints.

STREGNTH/FLEXIBILITY/STABILITY/CONDITIONING/CARDIO

Essentrics

Essentrics is a low impact, full body workout that simultaneously combines stretching and strengthening of the core muscle groups. Techniques from tai chi, ballet, pilates, and physiotherapy are combined to help you improve posture, prevent injuries, gain body awareness, enhance mobility and increase flexibility. Not only can you expect to leaving feeling stronger, and well stretched but you will also walk away feeling taller and lighter! Best of all, Essentrics is fun!

Mat/Barre Fusion

With a focus on postural strength and alignment this class combines the core stabilizing benefits of Pilates with the muscle toning effects of Ballet Barre which emphasizes movement and strength in the lower body. This class will have your abs and glutes working hard and in harmony!

STRENGTH/FLEXIBILITY/STABILITY/TONE

BARRE

Using a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and Pilates, the barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training (holding your body still while you contract a specific set of muscles) combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. Classes may also incorporate light handheld weights for a little extra "burn" and to elevate targeting you core.

STRENGTH/FLEXIBILITY/STABILITY/TONE with some BURN

SpringWall

Different from the mat, this class uses spring loaded equipment to strengthen and lengthen. While the springs may appear similar to those on the Reformer, the feeling is completely different. Each limb works independently, carrying its own weight. Additionally, the positioning of the springs (higher, and behind you), creates considerable instability, forcing you to deeply isolate your core muscles, as well as enabling you to feel and correct the imbalance between sides. Workouts on the Springwall will help you improve balance, strength, flexibility, and profoundly increase the connection with your core, as well as the mindfulness of your movements. Suitable for all levels of physicality and strength from rehabilitative, to de-conditioned, to trained, to elite.
